Steve has been a professional musician for over 30 years. His experience includes working in bands, teaching, and recording saxophone, clarinet, flute, and electric guitar. In 1992, Steve formed Jump The Q with his wife Fiona. The band recorded three original albums, and gigged around the North-East before moving into the wedding, function, and live entertainment scene full time.
Steve was recently invited to session for DJ Dubdogz & DJ Steve Angello’s Laidback Luke remix of Show Me Love, a club classic by Robin S. Dubdogz contacted Steve after finding his instrumental version of the song on YouTube.
Steve has played alongside some of the biggest house music DJs in the world while he was the resident sax player at the Middlesbrough Empire’s Sugar Shack in the 90s. Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work, Jeremy Healy, Sasha, John Digweed, and Frankie Knuckles all welcomed Steve’s performances when playing at the club.
